Summer school 2022

The 2nd GENIAL summer school was organized by Université de Lorraine and hosted in Nancy on 8-17th June. Both cohorts 1 and 2 attend the event, as well as a dozen teachers and guests.  The main part of the school was dedicated to the thesis presentations at the Faculty of Sciences & Technologies of Université de Lorraine (cohort 1 students thesis are available at XXXXXX).

This 2nd summer school was organized in conjunction to the 6th IFAC Symposium on Telematics Applications, TA’2022 https://ta22.cran.univ-lorraine.fr/. All students participated to the conference and Otabek Sobirov, cohort 1 GENIAL student, presented his accepted paper entitled “Reinforcement Learning TDMA-Based MAC Scheduling in the Industrial Internet of Things: A Survey” written together with Mehdi Kherbache Mehdi, Moufida Maimour, Éric Rondeau from UL and Abderrezak Benyahia from University of Batna (associate partner).

A special session about Green Education and EMJMD GENIAL thesis – Green networking was included in the symposium programme. During this session, Samuel Asiwaju, Wania Khan and Hien Ngo Le Huy were invited to present their thesis in front of the attendance. Dorine Petit, alumni of the EMJMD PERCCOM, joined the symposium general chair,  to present them with the Best Master Thesis award. Otabek Sobirov received the General Chair special award.

Summer school 2021

The first GENIAL summer school was organized by LBU at the Great Hall, Headingley Campus, Leeds Beckett University on 21st-23rd June, 2021. It was an hybrid event with face-to-face with social distancing for cohort 1 students + 3 staff members and online participation for Plenary Sessions using Microsoft Teams for project and associate partners, supervisors, and selected cohort 2 students.
